A major retrospective of the artist Mark Rothko at the Fondation Louis Vuitton.
The Fondation Louis Vuitton presents a major retrospective devoted to the work and career of Mark Rothko (1903-1970). Presented chronologically, the exhibition highlights the development of the American artist, from his early figurative work to his highly abstract paintings. From urban landscapes to intimate explorations, from ancient myths to surrealism, this exhibition-event brings together 115 works from leading public and private collections including the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., the Tate Gallery in London and collections belonging to the artist’s family.
