In impressively-sized rooms, the Musée de la l'Orangerie houses a series of large Water Lilies paintings which are masterpieces offered by Monet himself to France in 1922. The lower ground floor houses the Jean Walter and Paul Guillaume collections which are dedicated to the great names of the 20th century: Renoir, Cezanne, Matisse, Picasso, Soutine, etc.

Physical disability:
- The entrance of the Musée de l'Orangerie is accessible via a ramp at the secondary entrance on the right side of the building
- The welcome desk does not have a lowered section but has a shelf on the front of the desk
- Nearby carparks:
¤ Jardin des Tuileries
¤ Carrousel (access via Quai des Tuileries or Rue de Rivoli)
- Vehicles can access the gardens to drop off visitors in front of the museum - must be authorized in advance, contact [email protected]
¤ Vehicles may not park within the gardens
¤ Access via the Pont de Fer entrance on Avenue Lemonnier (see map on the website)
- When entering the museum, disabled visitors must present themselves to security team to be accompanied within the museum
- The lift can hold one person in a wheelchair (unrestricted access)
- 3 canes are available for visitors
- Wheelchairs and stools are available upon presentation of ID
- The auditorium has adjustable seats and so can be navigated in a wheelchair

Hearing impairment:
- The museum can organize tours in French Sign Language for groups (booking required)
¤ French Sign Language tours are also organiwed for temporary exhibitions (available on the website) at a price of €4.50: meet at the waiting area near the tills
- The museum also offers lip-reading tours for groups (bookin required): organized through the museum according to programming (certain temporary exhibitions are not available in lip-reading format)
- Magnetic induction loop at the welcome desk, in the shop, in the workshop room and in the auditorium
- Museum staf are trained in French Sign Language
