At the start of the 2026 school year, the Fondation Cartier will unveil a major culinary project on Rue de Rivoli. Chef Anne-Sophie Pic, the only woman in France to hold three Michelin stars, will open her new Parisian restaurant there following the closure of La Dame de Pic. This new chapter will unfold in two phases: beginning September 4, 2026, with the opening of the “Utopic” bar, followed on September 18, 2026, by the opening of her exceptional restaurant, “Anne-Sophie Pic Paris.” This new addition strengthens the dialogue between haute cuisine and contemporary art at the heart of the institution.
On September 20, 2026, Sofia Coppola will be in attendance—in conjunction with the exhibition at the Palace of Versailles dedicated to her film “Marie Antoinette,” which opens on September 22, 2026—for a book-signing at the Fondation Cartier for Contemporary Art bookstore. The American director will be signing copies of Andrew Durham’s new photography book, “Making Marie Antoinette.” Open to the public; no reservation required.
