A major retrospective of Alain Keler's photographs at the Sainte-Chapelle, Château de Vincennes
From May 13 to September 11, 2026, the Château de Vincennes hosts the exhibition Alain Keler - Histoires de vie in the exceptional setting of the Sainte-Chapelle. Through more than fifty years of photography, photojournalist Alain Keler delivers a sensitive look at major contemporary upheavals and the human trajectories that run through them.
From Ethiopia to Chechnya, via Lebanon and Israel, his images document conflicts, migrations and global change, while leaving an important place for intimacy and family memory. The exhibition blends documentary photography and personal narratives in an immersive scenography, where each shot is in dialogue with the photographer's own words. Presented in the Gothic architecture of the Sainte-Chapelle, this retrospective highlights a profoundly humanist and committed body of work.
