Can I receive documentation by post (maps, guides, etc.)?

As part of our environmental approach, we no longer send out documentation and invite you to consult articles, practical addresses, ideas and inspirations directly on our website and our web app MyParisjetaime. However, it is possible to get a free Paris map-guide (in French or English) from one of the following partner kiosks:

  • Rivoli kiosk, located between the Louvre Museum and Paris City Hall at 104, rue de Rivoli in the 1st arrondissement. Châtelet metro station on lines 1, 7, 9, 11 and 14 or Châtelet-les-Halles RER station on line A
  • Musée d'Orsay kiosk, opposite the musée d'Orsay at 2 place de la Légion d'Honneur in the 7th arrondissement. Assemblée Nationale metro station on line 12 or Musée d'Orsay RER station on line C
  • Trocadéro kiosk, located on the Place du Trocadéro at 120 avenue Kléber, in the 16th arrondissement. Trocadéro metro station on lines 6 and 9
  • Beaubourg Kiosk, located right next to the Pompidou Centre at 38 rue Rambuteau, in the 4th arrondissement. Rambuteau metro station on line 11

Right now:

Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral can be visited free of charge. You can reserve a time slot the day before, the day before and the day of your visit on the cathedral website and on the application available on Google Play and on the App Store.

It is possible to access Notre-Dame cathedral without booking a time slot by joining the queue on the cathedral forecourt. The cathedral is open from Monday to Friday from 7.50am to 7pm (Thursdays until 10pm) and on weekends from 8.15am to 7.30pm. Last admission: 30 minutes before closing time.

Group visits are possible from 9 June 2025 by prior arrangement. They are only open to groups of 25 people maximum (including the guide) accompanied by a guide holding a professional card. Reservations are expected to open from March 2025. Speaking is not permitted before 9 June 2025.

Suitcases are not permitted in the cathedral.

The cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris is fully accessible to visitors with disabilities. Priority access is provided, and admission to the treasure is free on presentation of a proof of entitlement.
