What can you do in Paris this weekend ?

In Paris and the Île-de-France region, the weekend of 1–2 August 2026 will be all about summer, nature and culture, with wide open spaces, open-air shows and evenings spent up close with the animals.

With Le Bel Été at Georges-Valbon Park, Seine-Saint-Denis takes on a holiday atmosphere. Sports events, workshops, concerts and free activities take over the park to offer everyone moments of relaxation and conviviality in a vast green setting.

In the heart of the capital, Paris Plages invites you to make the most of the fine weather by the water’s edge. Deckchairs, misting systems, water sports and relaxation areas transform the banks of the Seine and the Bassin de la Villette into veritable urban seaside resorts, ideal for a summer break.

The Paris l’Été Festival brings together dance, theatre, circus and music in the city’s iconic and unusual venues. An eclectic programme takes over public spaces and offers shows accessible to all, bringing audiences closer to the artists.

Finally, the Paris Zoological Park’s ‘Nocturnes’ offer a unique experience as night falls. In the cool of the evening, visitors stroll through the zoo’s paths in a peaceful atmosphere, punctuated by entertainment and special opportunities to observe the animals.

A weekend all about fresh air, getting away from it all and spending time together, where you can enjoy the countryside, make the most of the riverbanks, enjoy open-air shows and discover Paris in a different light in the heart of summer.
