Located on Chaillot Hill, the Renaissance-inspired Palais Galliera is home to the Paris Museum of Fashion. Through its exhibition itinerary, the museum showcases a selection of its collections—comprising nearly 200,000 works, among the most significant in the world in this field—and tells the story of fashion from the 18th century to the present day. Through temporary monographic or thematic exhibitions, the Palais Galliera allows a wide audience to discover different perspectives on fashion—as both an artistic creation and a sociocultural phenomenon—and to explore its leading figures.
