Art and history through the faces to discover at the Petit Palais

The exhibition ‘Artists' Faces - From Gustave Courbet to Annette Messager’ at the Petit Palais highlights one of the museum's key themes: self-portraits. It explores the place of artist portraits through various 19th-century pieces -paintings, sculptures, graphic arts, photography, and decorative arts- puts some of its most famous masterpieces into perspective, and presents rarely exhibited creations. The works of a dozen women reworking the self-portrait with a more modern eye echo the portraits in the collections on display. On view from 18 March to 19 July 2026.
From 10am to 6pm. Closed on Monday.
€14. Reduced price : €12. Free for children under 18.
