Annette Messager’s works on the theme of animals in art engage in a dialogue with the collections of the Museum of Hunting and Nature

A leading figure in contemporary art, French artist Annette Messager is taking over the spaces of the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature for the duration of the exhibition “A swallow does not make spring. Annette Messager,” dedicated to the theme of animals in art. Through a thematic journey across fifteen rooms of the museum, more than 80 of the artist’s works and installations - exploring themes such as love, captivity, and wildness -engage in dialogue with the museum’s collections. On view from 14 April to 20 September 2026.
