Spotlight on the priceless archaeological past of the city of Gaza at the Arab World Institute
The Arab World Institute is presenting the exhibition ‘Treasures saved from Gaza. 5,000 years of history’ until 2 November 2025, unveiling a selection of 130 masterpieces from the city of Gaza. These priceless pieces, including the Abu Baraqeh mosaic, come from the collection of the Geneva Museum of Art and History, which preserves nearly 529 works that have not been able to return to their country of origin, as well as from the private collection of Jawdat Khoudery. The exhibition reveals the prestigious past of this Palestinian city, dating back to the Bronze Age, as well as the many archaeological sites it is home to that are currently in danger.
From 10am to 6pm. From 10am to 7pm Saturday and Sunday. Closed on Monday and 1 May.
