Spotlight on the elegance, creativity and exuberance of fashion in the Age of Enlightenment
From March 14 to July 12, 2026, the Palais Galliera is presenting the exhibition “Fashion in the 18th Century: A Fantasized Legacy.” More than seventy silhouettes and a selection of accessories, fabrics, and works of art reveal the elegance of fashion during the Age of Enlightenment, marked by the variety and creativity of outfits, fabrics, and hairstyles. Throughout the exhibition, visitors will discover the exuberance of the silhouettes, as well as a rare piece: Marie Antoinette's corset. The exhibition also explores the influence of 18th-century fashion on contemporary haute couture, from Chanel to Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Vivienne Westwood.
From 10am to 6pm. From 10am to 9pm on Friday. Closed on Monday.
