CLING! Comics speak cash: the big exhibition

The comic strip's depiction of money, featuring its most iconic characters!

From April 10 to September 6, 2026, the Monnaie de Paris presents "CLING! La bande dessinée parle cash", an original exhibition exploring the fascinating, funny and sometimes explosive relationship between the 9th art form and money. Through the figures of Scrooge, the Daltons, Largo Winch and Gaston Lagaffe, the exhibition deciphers how comics tell the story of our society through the prism of money, wealth and greed. Produced in collaboration with the Cité internationale de la bande dessinée et de l'image (CIBDI), this exhibition brings together original illustrations, cult objects and immersive displays. Visitors travel from legendary safes to robbed banks, from pirate treasures to the challenges of international finance. A fresh, popular look at the economy, accessible to all generations at the heart of France's oldest institution.
