In June 2026, a spectacular, immersive installation by artist JR transforms the Pont Neuf. In June 2026, the capital's oldest stone bridge becomes a monumental, temporary work of art titled La Caverne du Pont Neuf .
This bold project is a vibrant tribute to the historic wrapping of the bridge undertaken by Christo and Jeanne-Claude in 1985, and a celebration of its 40th anniversary. JR was inspired by the limestone quarries used to build Paris to transform the monument into a monumental cave.
