THEATRE/CONCERT HALL

Théâtre du Châtelet

1 place du Châtelet - 75001 Paris Châtelet - Les Halles
Located on Place du Châtelet, in the heart of Paris, the Théâtre du Châtelet was inaugurated in 1862, with architecture by Gabriel Davioud. The same architect designed the Fontaine Saint-Michel, the gates of the Parc Monceau and various street furniture, such as Parisian newsstands and public benches.
Specializing in musical performances of all kinds, the programming at this Parisian cultural mecca is highly diverse and eclectic: musical comedy, opera, oratorio, classical and contemporary dance, classical, contemporary and jazz concerts, musical theater, etc. Its innovative and demanding shows are staged in the 2,048-seat main auditorium, as well as on the ephemeral stage in the Grand Foyer.
Outside performance times, the Théâtre is open to the public for guided, singing and family tours.
