A must-see Parisian festival, We Love Green offers an eclectic and international music line-up, spaces for reflection on environmental issues, and food trucks run by some of today's best chefs.

Marvellous Island Festival - the best of electronic music, with your feet in the sand

Head to Torcy beach for the 13th edition of the Marvellous Island independent electronic music festival: over 100 artists will perform on five stages during two days of outdoor festivities.

Solidays - one of the capital's biggest charity events (festival cancelled)

Organised by the Solidarité Sida association since 1999, Solidays attracted thousands of people last year to the lawns of the ParisLongchamp racecourse with its enticing musical line-up, as well as conferences, information stands and food trucks to delight festival-goers.

Yardland - a new festival dedicated to popular culture

A newcomer to the capital's major summer festivals, Yardland is dedicated to new popular cultures. The programme focuses on rap, but that's not all: lifestyle, fashion, art, associations, sport and food are also on the agenda.

The Peacock Society – an open-air festival dedicated to the best in electronic music

Rock en Seine - the big name in Parisian festivals

Every year, Rock en Seine welcomes renowned international bands and some of the most talented emerging artists. For five days, more than 100,000 spectators attend their performances at the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud in a festive atmosphere that is always different. The Mini Rock, a fun area away from the crowds, is dedicated to younger children (aged 6 to 11) and welcomes festival-goers' children free of charge (upon registration) with entertainment throughout the festival.

Festival des 2 Rivières – Pop-rock and fusion music for a festival that brings together all generations

Head to the Espace des 2 Rivières in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre for the 15th edition of the Festival des 2 Rivières. A line-up featuring pop-rock and eclectic music across 15 concerts, including performances by Gaël Faye, Superbus, Claudio Capéo and Fatoumata Diawara.

Days Off Festival – pop, folk and electro in the stunning setting of the Philharmonie de Paris

Head to the Philharmonie de Paris for the 16th edition of the Days Off festival. An eclectic line-up spanning pop, folk, electro and contemporary works, featuring Babyshambles, Tamino, Alela Diane, Yerai Cortés, Smerz and a Raï Night curated by Sofiane Saidi and his guests.

Chopin Festival in Paris - tribute to composer and pianist Frédéric Chopin

The Chopin Festival celebrates Polish composer Frédéric Chopin and his works in the elegant setting of the Orangerie in Bagatelle Park. The programme includes candlelit concerts, recitals, an ‘Open Door Piano’ concert where young pianists play Chopin, and a closing concert on 14 July featuring Chopin, Fauré, Ravel and Liszt.

Classique au vert - classical music concerts to enjoy while lying on the grass

The Parc Floral de Paris is hosting eight free classical music concerts on weekends during the Paris summer. The repertoire will delight seasoned music lovers and novices looking to discover new sounds. There is an admission fee for the park.

Paris Jazz Festival - a grand celebration of jazz music
