The Paris-Vincennes racecourse, located in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes to the east of Paris, is nicknamed "the temple of trotting". Inaugurated in 1863, it covers 42 hectares. It has a 2,000-metre outdoor track, a capacity of 40,000 people and 150 boxes for trotters. It hosts most of the major French races and international horse events, such as the Grand Prix d'Amérique.
