Garden cities of Île-de-France, 2 place Marcel Pointet - 93240 Stains
From 30 May to 14 June 2026
Three weekends of free visits and strolls to discover the garden cities of Île-de-France
From May 30 to June 14, 2026, Printemps des cités-jardins invites the public to explore a unique urban heritage throughout the Île-de-France region. Organized by the Association régionale des cités-jardins d'Île-de-France, the event features some thirty events spread over several weekends around the theme "Des racines et des horizons" ("Roots and horizons"). The aim is to shed light on the history of garden cities, inspired by the English model, while exploring their future and their role in the contemporary city.
The program features a wide range of activities open to all, including urban walks, heritage hikes, original guided tours, exhibitions and encounters. Some of the highlights include visits to emblematic garden cities such as Stains, Le Pré-Saint-Gervais and Dugny, while others, such as the "cités-randos", offer a wider immersion in these neighborhoods combining architecture, nature and social life. Designed as an opportunity for sharing and discovery, this event showcases an urban model where housing, green spaces and community facilities coexist harmoniously.
