Bois de Vincennes

The Bois de Vincennes is one of the capital's two ‘green lungs’ in terms of surface area, along with the Bois de Boulogne. It is located in the east of Paris, on the edge of the 12th arrondissement. Numerous organisations have been set up in the Bois de Vincennes to help visitors learn more about the site and get closer to its biodiversity: the École du Breuil and its arboretum, the Jardin d'agronomie tropicale, the Ferme de Paris, the Maison Paris Nature, bird sanctuaries, etc. The most remarkable monument in the woods is the Château de Vincennes, a marvellous example of medieval architecture that can be visited every day. There are countless facilities for relaxing, having fun or doing sport. The Parc Floral is a paradise for families, with play areas including an 18-hole mini-golf course, slides and table tennis. The Parc Floral is also the setting for many free events, especially in summer: Paris Jazz Festival, Pestacles, Festival Classique au Vert... On one of the lakes, visitors can enjoy a boat trip, while horse racing fans can place their bets at the racecourse. The Bois de Vincennes is a great place to explore on foot or by bike, on your own, as a couple, with friends or as a family!

The 'Ferme de Paris' is open on Saturdays and Sundays.
The 'Marionnettes de Paris': Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, 3.30pm-4.30pm (every day during school holidays in the Paris region).
Boat hire on Lac Daumesnil is open every day from 9.30am-8pm.
Parc Floral: 9.30am-6.30pm in winter, 9.30am-8pm in summer.
