Musée départemental Albert-Kahn

10-14 rue du Port - 92100 Boulogne-Billancourt 92 - Hauts-de-Seine
The Musée Départemental Albert Kahn reopened on 2 April 2022 with an inaugural temporary exhibition "Around the World. La traversée des images, d'Albert Kahn à Curiosity" until 13 November 2022.
Banker, humanist, patron, Albert Kahn (1860-1940) dreamed of dialogue between people and harmony between civilizations. His dream takes shape over 4 hectares, in his former Boulogne-Billancourt property. Japanese, English and French gardens, flowers and fruit trees form a poetic haven around the museum. Every year there is an exhibition drawing on his archives from around the world, a collection of 72,000 colour photographs and 180,000 metres of silent films, taken all over the world between 1909 and 1931. The permanent exhibition is on display both indoors - in the building designed by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma - and outdoors in the museum's gardens, and allows visitors to discover the museum's rich collections over an area of 1,000 m².
