The Fête de la Musique will bring the streets of Paris to life on 21 June 2024 for its 42nd edition! Throughout the night, music lovers will enjoy an exceptional and eclectic programme featuring well-known artists and young talents who will take over the capital from all corners. It is one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year in Paris.
The programme is extensive, so here is a selection of events not to be missed:
12th arrondissement - 21 June
The Palais de la Porte Dorée is celebrating Music Festival 2026 with a free evening of festivities in an exceptional venue. On the programme: open-air concerts, a friendly atmosphere and an eclectic line-up (rap, drill, urban pop) combining world rhythms, contemporary music and artistic discoveries. This musical event is open to all, in a family-friendly and inclusive atmosphere, in the heart of Paris's 12th arrondissement, and is part of the Banlieues chéries exhibition. What a great way to start the summer with music!
15th arrondissement - 21 June
The 15th arrondissement is celebrating music! Once again this year, the biggest deep house event in Paris is expecting more than 15,000 people. The 9th edition of the EF Festival by VL will take place on the square in front of the town hall from 6pm to 2am. On the programme: Carla Schmitt, Jodie, KLYMVX, Mercer, Pact, Space 92, Tony Romera, Two Dots and many more! Registration is free, don't forget to reserve your place!
1st arrondissement – 21 June
The 5th edition of the Festival Scène en Seine is being held in the heart of the Île de la Cité, on this iconic triangular square in Paris. Sing, dance and discover is the philosophy of this festive, free open stage, which celebrates the richness of our musical heritage Place Dauphine. A great atmosphere is guaranteed!
To mark Music Day 2026, the Cité du Cinéma is opening its doors for a festive evening in an iconic venue dedicated to creativity and the audiovisual arts. Live concerts, DJ sets and artistic performances will take over the various spaces of this former power station, which has been converted into a huge film studio. With an electro vibe, immersive installations and an eclectic line-up, this evening promises a unique experience on the outskirts of Paris, in a spectacular industrial setting.
Housed in a stunning 19th-century mansion, the Citéco - Cité de l’Économie is celebrating Music Day 2026 with a poetic and sensory musical interlude. During this free evening event, a solo harp concert will fill the museum with delicate melodies, echoing the exhibition dedicated to Kourtney Roy. This musical immersion invites visitors on a true artistic journey through sound, images and emotions.
This exceptional event is organised in partnership with the École Normale de Musique de Paris, a prestigious institution founded in 1919 by the pianist Alfred Cortot. Renowned for the excellence of its musical education, the school is joining forces with Citéco to offer the Parisian public a refined event, accessible to all, to mark the Fête de la Musique.
On the occasion of Paris Music Day, head to the majestic Château de Chantilly on 21 June, where renowned DJ Carl Cox will take over the courtyard for an exceptional concert. This unique performance, part of the Music Festival celebrations, promises a sophisticated and festive electro atmosphere, in perfect harmony with the historic setting of the estate.
Every summer, the City of Paris breathes new life into its garden kiosks with a free and eclectic programme: concerts, dances, dance and theatre performances, sporting events, readings and community meetings take place in the green spaces across the twenty arrondissements. This initiative, known as Kiosque en Fête, which opens its doors in mid-April, transforms Paris’s parks into genuine neighbourhood stages accessible to all. For Music Day 2026 on 21 June, several bandstands will come alive with a special musical programme: this is particularly the case at Square Serge-Reggiani (19th arrondissement), which will host Vagabond Vibes for a festive open-air evening.
1st arr. – 21 June
For a Fête de la Musique off the beaten track, head to Nelson Mandela Garden, right in the heart of Les Halles, on Sunday 21 June 2026. Tucked away at the foot of Saint-Eustache Church, the garden is transformed for the occasion into an open-air cinema, with a live film concert at dusk – a rare event combining images with live music. A lovely alternative to the crowded main stages, in a leafy, intimate setting in the heart of the 1st arrondissement.
19th arrondissement – 21 June
Organised by the Vagabond Vibes association, Kiosques en Fête! opens its stage to local artists and talent from 5.30 pm to celebrate the arrival of summer in style. An eclectic musical line-up, with something for everyone.
Paris – 21 June
To mark Music Day 2026, several Parisian markets are being transformed into open-air stages. Throughout the day, traders, locals and artists will come together to bring the market aisles to life with free concerts. Jazz, French chanson, world music, brass bands and local bands will enliven these iconic Parisian venues in a friendly and festive atmosphere. A wonderful opportunity to do your shopping whilst enjoying Fête de la Musique alongside the locals.

19th arrondissement – 21 June
An unmissable event for electronic music fans, Cookie Records takes over the Pavillon Puebla every year, nestled in the heart of Buttes-Chaumont Park, for its legendary music festival. On 21 June 2026, from midday until 11pm, two stages will be set up on the tree-lined terraces of this Haussmann-style pavilion for a festive, free day in Paris’s wildest park. As capacity is limited, it’s best to book your ticket on Shotgun and arrive early to be sure of getting in.
13th arrondissement – 21 June
On 21 June 2026, La Butte-aux-Cailles, an iconic neighbourhood in Paris’s 13th arrondissement, will rock to the sound of rock music with the bands Bl@ast, Touch of Souls, Endless Road, Folk Road, Rock in Progress and Dr Gang. From 4pm to 11pm, Rue Michal will host this free performance, offering the public an hour of energetic covers in a friendly and festive atmosphere. This musical event is part of the Fête de la Musique, an annual celebration that transforms the streets of Paris into open-air stages for all musical genres. An ideal opportunity to discover or rediscover the charm of la Butte-aux-Cailles whilst enjoying a lively evening.
1st arrondissement – 21 June
A green oasis in the heart of Paris, the gardens of the Palais-Royal are hosting a musical evening for Fête de la Musique 2026. On Sunday 21 June, the Ministry of Culture will take over this exceptional venue for a programme entirely dedicated to jazz in all its forms – from the classics to its most contemporary variations. An elegant way to celebrate 21 June in one of the capital’s most beautiful settings, a stone’s throw from the Louvre, with free admission.
For the 2026 Music Festival, the Guimet National Museum of Asian Arts is going ‘100% Korea’ with its festive K-Music programme. On Sunday 21 June, from 2 pm, the museum will open its doors free of charge for an auditory and visual journey set to the rhythm of the Hallyu wave. The afternoon will be all about K-Pop, with dance demonstrations on the forecourt, introductory dance workshops led by Jooyoung Lee, karaoke sessions, and a make-up masterclass inspired by Korean stars. From 7.00 pm, the action moves to the museum’s Han Rooftop: overlooking the Eiffel Tower, the terrace comes alive with an open-mic dance stage and avant-garde underground DJ sets organised by the Chinabot label, featuring artists Arexibo, HWXXNG and Pal Hwang Dan. An exotic and unmissable Parisian getaway to celebrate the summer.
12th arrondissement – 21 June
The Paris-Vincennes Racecourse is transformed into a huge open-air festival to mark Music Day 2026 and its famous Champions’ Day. This free event, accessible by invitation only, combines the spectacle of horse racing with a festive musical line-up. From midday onwards, get into the groove with high-energy DJ sets and live music by the track. The event also features aerobatic displays by the French Air and Space Force, family entertainment and a large gourmet food court. Located in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes in Paris’s 12th arrondissement, the venue is easily accessible by public transport (RER A to Joinville-le-Pont or Bus 77). Sceaux (92) - 21 June
For Music Day 2026, the MJC in Sceaux is transforming the Jardin de la Ménagerie into an open-air concert venue under a marquee. On the programme: over four hours of free live music, accompanied by food trucks and a bar to set the mood. The evening kicks off with two support acts from the Déclencheur programme run by Studios la Caisse Claire, a scheme supporting young artists, before culminating in a grand finale with the Magic Michel Orchestra – a cover supergroup celebrating its tenth anniversary this year – and its thirty or so musicians gathered on stage.
Ivry-sur-Seine (94) – 21 June
This year, 21 June coincides with the grand Ivry-sur-Seine Town Festival, which takes over the town centre on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June. From 11am, residents and visitors are invited to enjoy a programme combining concerts, stalls run by the council and local organisations, food tastings and entertainment for all ages – a popular and festive event that goes beyond the musical scope of Fête de la Musique to celebrate neighbourhood life more broadly as summer begins.
