🎯Explore Paris on foot

To ensure you don’t miss a thing, Paris Design Week can be explored through themed walks that offer a variety of perspectives.

The AD route, which invites renowned interior designers and architects (such as Delcourt Collection, Pinto and India Mahdavi) to unveil collections crafted by exceptional artisans, is one of the highlights of this year’s event. The four major districts of the capital are once again becoming the epicentres of creativity:

  • Marais / Bastille / République
  • Rive Gauche
  • Opéra / Concorde / Étoile
  • Palais Royal / Place des Victoires / Pigalle

🎯The Avant-garde and emerging talents at the “Factory”

The Factory exhibition is once again establishing itself this year as a true laboratory for young creators and collectible design. For the 2026 edition, the highly selective programme is led by a new curatorial duo: Jean-Baptiste Durand and Simon Geringer.

The exhibition unfolds across four galleries and strategic venues in the Marais:

  • L’Espace Commines: this venue showcases the work of around forty exhibitors who transcend the boundaries between art and craftsmanship, within a bespoke exhibition design conceived by the curators
  • At 116 rue de Turenne: a specially designed space where the distinctive worlds of emerging creators intertwine to create a unique atmosphere
  • At 16 rue des Minimes: a meeting place dedicated to established designers and publishing houses, exploring every stage of production, from prototype to finished object
  • At 10 rue de Turenne: the China Creative Pavilion presents the exhibition ‘BON GOÛT ! GOOD TASTE !’, which explores sensory and aesthetic connections through contemporary Chinese design

Also not to be missed in the avant-garde section:

  • The three exhibitions by the Campus Mode Métiers d’Art et Design at the Galerie des Gobelins (Mobilier national) from 9 to 13 September 2026, including Vivement demain #5 and the 14 finalists of the 2026 Young Creators’ Prize
  • The Café Parisien by PP Designers at the BHVP, the ECAL x Helinox exhibition at the Hôtel de la Monnaie, and the installations by Studio Zbeul from 16 to 20 September 2026

🎯Parisian heritage reimagined through design

The Design sur cours trail invites visitors to rediscover Paris’s iconic sites and monuments, transformed by outdoor installations that serve as true manifestos:

  • The Grand Palais: Julien Sebban for Uchronia takes over the majestic Rotonde d’Antin with “Le Grand Bouquet”, a monumental and immersive installation inspired by the venue’s historic floral motifs. A selection of merchandise is also available at the Boutique Design et Métiers d’Art
  • Musée Bourdelle : from 9 to 27 September 2026, designer Anthony Guerrée presents a sensory journey (“Formes libres”) that echoes the sculptures of Antoine Bourdelle, blending wood, glass and earth both indoors and in the gardens
  • Hôtel de la Marine: a major dual programme. The state rooms host the “Hanjimania” exhibition, a Franco-Korean dialogue centred on traditional hanji paper (soon to be recognised by UNESCO), featuring major names such as Studio KO, Pierre Yovanovitch and Constance Guisset. At the same time, the Cour de l’Intendant is hosting “Astre Mobile” by Antoine Tauvel (Maison Lacmé), which revisits the spirit of the Art Cars by transforming a car into a mobile cabinet of curiosities (onyx, lacquer, porcelain). Both installations are on display from 9 to 27 September 2026. The public can therefore view them during Paris Design Week as well as during the Heritage Days
  • Hôtel de Sully: the virtuoso Irish cabinetmaker Joseph Walsh is the guest of honour for 2026. He is displaying his famous ash wood sculptures, with their organic forms that defy gravity, in the orangery, the gardens and the main courtyard
  • Arc de Triomphe: the monumental exhibition “La Tempête” by Jeremy Pradier-Jeauneau transforms the ascent of the monument into a sensory and immersive experience from base to summit
  • National Archives (Hôtel de Soubise): a dual installation in the Marais . The gardens of the Hôtel de Rohan are hosting “Arabesque”, a poetic collection of street furniture made from Moabi wood by Pierre Renart. Against the classical backdrop of the Hôtel de Soubise, Johanna de Clisson has installed “Sculpture/Paysage”, comprising around ten white stoneware planter-sculptures
  • The Place de la Bastille: around the July Column, Studio 5.5 presents “La Re-prise de la Bastille” in partnership with the Festival du Monde et Refashion. A monumental work made from second-hand clothing to raise awareness of recycling and sustainable fashion
  • The Hôtel d’Albret: the City of Paris presents “Multiples: Thinking About the Object in Series”, curated by Lucien Icard and Kevin Lebouvier, featuring notably the inviting installation PICNIC by Studio Cluzel Pluchon
  • Monnaie de Paris: a collective of young designers presented by ZBEUL Studio and Victor Fleury Ponsin

Make a note in your diaries: the famous Paris Design Week talks will be held for the first time in the auditorium of the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature on Wednesday 16 September 2026. A stroll where monuments and hidden courtyards become settings for experimentation!

🎯Paris and the world: an international crossroads

Paris is establishing itself as a meeting point for cultures and international design visions thanks to its cultural centres and guest institutions:
