Musée national Eugène-Delacroix

The Musée National Eugène-Delacroix is set in the apartment and studio where Eugène Delacroix (1798-1863) lived and worked for several years, from 1857 until his death. The artist-designed studio and lovely garden that he created as a retreat in the heart of Paris are the highlights of a secret space, not to be missed. The museum’s collection has expanded over the years and now comprises paintings, drawings, prints, and letters written by Delacroix and his contemporaries. It thus sheds light on the painter’s work and creative process from multiple angles : Romantic painting, travels in Morocco, religious painting, large decorative works…
