In the garden and workshops where Antoine Bourdelle lived and worked, over five hundred plaster casts, marbles and bronzes are on display... Enter the world of Bourdelle, who worked with Rodin, Giacometti, Germaine Richier and Vieira da Silva. The sculptor was also responsible for the decor of the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. Christian de Portzamparc's contemporary extension of the museum gives Antoine Bourdelle's work its full dimension. Sculpture garden. Documentation room, temporary exhibitions.
In March 2023, the museum reopened in its entirety after two years of renovation. The renovation, which respected the museum's architectural heritage, not only restored the sculptor's studio, but also completely rethought the collections' itinerary, supported by innovative textual and digital mediation, and opened a new café-restaurant named Le Rhodia, after Bourdelle's daughter.
