Musée Bourdelle

In the garden and studios where Antoine Bourdelle lived and worked, visitors can now see more than five hundred plaster casts, marble sculptures, and bronze sculptures... Step into the world of the man who was Rodin’s collaborator and the mentor of Giacometti, Germaine Richier, and Vieira da Silva. The sculptor was notably the designer of the décor for the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. The museum’s contemporary extension by Christian de Portzamparc showcases the full scope of Antoine Bourdelle’s work. Sculpture garden. Research room, temporary exhibitions.
The museum reopened all of its spaces in March 2023 after two years of renovation work. This renovation, carried out with respect for the architectural heritage, made it possible to restore the sculptor’s studio, completely redesign the exhibition layout—supported by innovative textual and digital interpretive materials—and open a new café-restaurant named Le Rhodia, after Bourdelle’s daughter.

The permanent collections of the City of Paris museums are open to the public free of charge. Temporary exhibitions are free for visitors under 18.

The museum is closed on Mondays and certain holidays. The museum is open on November 1 and 11, 2023, and closed on December 25, January 1, and May 1.
