In the garden and workshops where Antoine Bourdelle lived and worked, you can now discover more than five hundred plasters, marbles and bronzes... Enter the world of Bourdelle, who worked with Rodin and taught Giacometti, Germaine Richier and Vieira da Silva. The sculptor was also responsible for the decor of the Champs-Elysées theatre. Christian de Portzamparc's contemporary extension to the museum gives Antoine Bourdelle's work its full dimension. Sculpture garden. Documentation room, temporary exhibitions.
In March 2023, the museum reopened in its entirety after two years of renovation work. The renovation, which was carried out with respect for the architectural heritage, not only restored the sculptor's studio, but also completely redesigned the collections tour, supported by innovative textual and digital mediation, and opened a new café-restaurant called Le Rhodia, named after Bourdelle's daughter.
