In November, Paris has some great events not to be missed: exhibitions, shows, fashion events... check out this month's selection of must-sees!

As the weather turns colder, music venues fill up. It's the perfect time to treat yourself to one or more concert evenings.

November 2024 concerts

Shaka Ponk will be performing at the Accor Arena. The French rock and punk band will play 3 concert dates from 28 to 30 November 2024!

On 20 November 2024, Olivia Ruiz will be captivating audiences at the Olympia with a concert featuring a mix of old favourites and songs from her latest album. Clara Ysé, a rising star on the French music scene, with a distinctive voice to match, will be at the Olympia on 15 November 2024.

On 28 November 2024, the stellar quartet made up of Ballaké Sissoko, Vincent Ségal, Vincent Peirani and Emile Parisien will be playing at the Salle Pleyel for a wonderful musical evening fusing different influences. David Hallyday will give a concert on 12 November 2024 at the Dôme de Paris as part of his ‘Requiem pour un fou’ tour, and French rapper, Luidji, will be in concert on 20 November 2024 at the Accor Arena.

The internationally famous 80s band UB40 are celebrating their 45th anniversary and reggae hits and will give a concert on 30 November 2024 at the Olympia. Plus there is a great line-up of other artists: Sum41 at Paris La Défense Arena, on 23 November 2024, Lynda Lemay at the Olympia, on 18 November 2024, Naive New Beaters at the Olympia, on 26 November 2024, Tiken Jah Fakoly at the Salle Pleyel, on 13 and 14 November 2024, Isaac Delusion at the Olympia, on 28 November 2024, and Sheila at the Salle Pleyel, on 15 and 16 November 2024

November 2024 exhibitions

In 2024, an exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs ‘La naissance des grands magasins. Mode, design, jouet, publicité, 1852-1925’ (du 10 avril au 13 octobre 2024) looks at the creation of the Grands Magasins (big department stores) in Paris. Another event at the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, ‘Les Grands Magasins’, (du 16 octobre 2024 au 16 mars 2025), presents the development of department stores in a global context and looks at their architecture.

At the Musée du Quai Branly, visitors can see an immersive work by Myriam Mihindou, Ilimb, L'Essence des pleurs, designed to resonate with the museum's collection of musical instruments. (du 6 février au 10 novembre 2024). At the Grand Palais Immersif, the major exhibition Frida Kahlo ¡Viva La Vida! is programmed from 18 September 2024 offering the public a fascinating insight into the life and work of this great artist. At the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, the imaginary and the sciences converse in Métamorphoses du 4 avril 2023 au 24 novembre 2024.

The shows of 2024

So, what shows can you look forward to in November? ‘Les Misérables’ at the Théâtre du Châtelet is definitely the show to see at the end of the year. The hit musical will be in Paris from 22 November to 31 December 2024. Dance is in the spotlight on 16 and 17 November 2024 when Chris Marques, from the TV programme ‘Danse avec les stars’ (‘Dance with the stars’), presents ‘Alors on Danse’, a breathtaking show in augmented reality, at the Seine Musicale. At the same venue, Benjamin Millepied breathes new life into the music of the late Jeff Buckley with his brand-new creation, ‘Grace Jeff Buckley Dances’ (from 5 to 8 November 2024).

From 7 November to 1 December 2024, you won’t believe your eyes at the Folies Bergère. The venue welcomes Luis de Matos IMPOSSIBLE on stage, a magic show with five masters of illusion! For comedy: Manu Payet is at the Théâtre de la Madeleine from 21 November to 28 December 2024 with his show ‘Emmanuel 2’ and Alex Vizorek from 20 to 23 November 2024 at the Casino de Paris. After a date in March 2024, ‘The World of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension’ returns on 20 and 21 November 2024 to the Seine Musicale, to celebrate some of Zimmer's finest film music with a symphony orchestra, choir, and soloists.

November 2024 trade fairs

What are this month's leading trade fairs? Have you heard of MIF Expo? It's the Made in France trade show and it's back again from 8 to 11 November 2024. The event brings together no fewer than 1,000 exhibitors at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles to celebrate French manufacturing in fashion, decoration, high-tech, etc.

From 7 to 10 November 2024, at the Grand Palais, ‘Paris Photo’ is one of the major photography events of the year. It's the place to be if you want to check out the art photography scene and discover new artists and galleries from France and around the world.

Fans of needlework, creative hobbies and DIY will all be at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles for ‘Créations & savoir-faire et Aiguille en Fête’. From 27 November to 1 December, you’ll find knitting, DIY, cosmetics, embroidery ... all in one place! From 21 to 27 November 2024, arts and fine arts from Antiquity are the focus of ‘Fab Paris’ at the Grand Palais. The ‘Week-end à Est’ festival, from 20 to 25 November 2024, brings together lovers of Eastern European cultures and will be focusing on Armenia, with a cultural programme around this destination.

In November, with Christmas and the end of year celebrations just around the corner, Paris starts to take on a festive winter season appearance! Streets and shops in the capital are decked out in lights and decorations!

Highlights include the Avenue des Champs-Elysées and its traditional illuminations, the window displays of the big department stores on **Boulevard Haussmann, Place Vendôme … From 5 October to 11 November 2024, the church of Saint-Sulpice offers ‘Paris, Cœur de lumières’, an historic immersive sound and light show that takes the public on a journey from the 17th century to the French Revolution. At the Atelier des Lumières, the public can plunge into the world of Asterix in an exciting new experience from 18 October 2024 to 5 January 2025.

Another not-to-miss event, especially for children who love to read, is the Salon du livre et de la presse jeunesse in Montreuil, which takes place at the end of November on the outskirts of Paris.

Sports events

On 16 and 17 November, La Défense Arena welcomes an impressive motorcycling event. The Paris Supercross brings together the best international supercross riders.

At the Hippodrome d'Auteuil, the season comes to an end with a sensational weekend as jockeys and their horses go head-to-head in the 15 races of the ‘48H de l’Obstacle’ on 16 and 17 November 2024.
