Le Palace, located on the Grands Boulevards, has had an eventful history. According to sources, it opened its doors in 1912. It became a cinema in 1946, but later regained its original name: Le Palace. From 1975 to 1978, it became a theatre once again. Then, after extensive renovations to restore the original 1930s décor, it reopened with a show by Grace Jones. Very quickly, Le Palace became the place to be and the most popular nightclub in the capital. The venue has been closed since 2023. It is scheduled to reopen in October 2026.
