Open Air Cinema at La Villette 2026

The 35th edition of the festival takes over the Triangle meadow with a selection exploring the forest as a place of contemplation and ecological symbol

From July 22 to August 16, 2026, the La Villette Open-Air Film Festival returns for its 35th edition, with the theme of wilderness. This year, the festival explores the theme of the forest, presenting it in turn as a place of contemplation, a character in its own right and a powerful vehicle for an ecological message. This choice echoes the park's recent 15,000 m² extension dedicated to biodiversity. Every evening, the festival now offers two screenings: one at 6:00 p.m. specially programmed for children, followed by the big film at 9:00 p.m. A mix of classics and contemporary cinema, it's the perfect opportunity to share a picnic on the lawn before immersing yourself in stories in which plants and animals take center stage. You can also rent deckchairs to make yourself more comfortable. All films are shown in their original version with French subtitles.
