Every summer in August, Les Arènes Lyriques take over the garden of the Montmartre arenas, just a stone's throw from the Sacré-Coeur. This classical music festival offers lyrical works performed by young musicians and opera singers to accompany nightfall. With Noemi Gasparini, violin, Cyrielle Ndjiki, Clara Barbier Serrano and Olivia Doutney, sopranos, Ionash Maiatsky, piano and the Orchestre Ostinato. The programme for these ten exceptional evenings includes: Concerto for piano: II. Andante con moto by Francis Poulenc; Concerto for viola d'amore: I. Vivace by Antonio Vivaldi; Souvenir d'un lieu cher: I. Meditation by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky; Air ‘Regnava nel silenzio’ by Gaetano Donizetti; Air ‘Vorrei spiegarvi’ and Air ‘D'oreste, d'ajace’ by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Melody ‘Zdes’ Khorosho’ by Sergei Rachmaninoff; Piano Concerto No.2 III. Allegro vivace by Frédéric Chopin; Gracias a la vida by Violetta Parra; Cucurrucucu Paloma by Tomás Méndez and Air de la mort d'Isolde by Richard Wagner.
