Participatory exhibition: "Vénus" by Prune Nourry in Saint-Denis

From 21 March to 21 September 2025, the Paul Éluard Museum of Art and History in Saint-Denis is hosting the politically engaged artist Prune Nourry and her project of 8 ‘Venuses’ in homage to women and cultural diversity. These works, intended for a series of 104 sculptures for Saint-Denis-Pleyel station, will gradually be filled with earth that visitors can deposit at the museum.

How do I get from the Montmartre district to Saint-Denis?

To get from Montmartre to Saint-Denis, several public transport options and routes are available, depending on your preference in terms of speed, comfort and budget.

1. By Metro (Fastest and most direct option)
Take Metro line 4 at Château Rouge or Barbès-Rochechouart station towards Porte de Clignancourt (terminus).

At Porte de Clignancourt, walk a few minutes to Clignancourt - Université station and take tram T3b towards Saint-Denis - Porte de Paris.

Get off at Saint-Denis - Porte de Paris to reach the centre of Saint-Denis.

2. By RER D (Rapid Alternative depending on your exact location)
Head for the Gare du Nord station, accessible via metro line 2 (Anvers station) or line 4.

Take the RER D in the direction of Creil or Orry-la-Ville and get off at Saint-Denis.

3. By Bus (Economical but slower option)
Take bus 85 at Montmartre - Anvers to Châtelet, then change to the RER D in the direction of Creil, get off at Saint-Denis.

Other option: Take bus 255 from Porte de Clignancourt to Basilique de Saint-Denis.

4. By bike or scooter (for fans of soft mobility)
Rent a Vélib' or an electric scooter for a journey of about 30 minutes, following the main roads such as Boulevard Ornano and Avenue du Président Wilson.
