Event on the Champs-Elysées to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Paris

The City of Paris is organising a major event on the Champs-Élysées avenue to celebrate New Year's Eve in Paris on 31 December. The programme for this 2023 event, which marks the transition to 2024, the year of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, includes: musical and artistic programming (live shows, performances and DJ sets) from 7pm to 11.40pm, video-mapping of the Arc de Triomphe from 11.40pm to 11.59pm and fireworks from midnight to 12.10am Please note that for safety reasons : the organisers reserve the right to close access in the event of maximum attendance ; bag checks and pat-downs will be carried out ; dogs, alcohol, helmets, glass bottles, bicycles, scooters and rollerblades are prohibited ; Charles-de-Gaulle - Étoile and Argentina stations will be closed from 5pm on 31 December 2023 ; George V, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Champs-Élysées - Clémenceau stations will be closed from 6pm on 31 December 2023 ; Concorde and Tuileries stations will be closed from 8pm on 31 December 2023. All public transport (metro, bus, RER and Transilien) is free from 5pm. 6 metro lines and 11 RER and Transilien lines will run throughout the night of 31 December 2023. The metro lines concerned are 1, 2, 4, 6, 9 and 14.
