Spotlight on impressionist painter Claude Monet and his relationship with time through his works!

The Musée de l'Orangerie is devoting an exhibition-event to the Impressionist painter Claude Monet to celebrate the centenary of his death. Entitled "Monet, peindre le temps" ("Monet, painting time"), it focuses on the artist's relationship with time through his famous series painted in Normandy at different times of day: "Les Meules" (1888-1891), "Les Peupliers au bord de l'Epte" (1891-1892), "Matinée sur la Seine" (1896-1897) and "La Cathédrale de Rouen"(1892-1898), as well as the "Les Nymphéas" cycle (1890-1926), for which the museum serves as a showcase. Bringing together nearly forty paintings by Claude Monet, the tour concludes with "Monet - au fil de l'eau", an immersive virtual reality experience, offering an unprecedented immersion in the artist's work. On view from 30 September to 25 January 2027.
From 9am to 6pm. From 9am to 9pm Friday. Closed on Tuesday and 24 October.
