Discover the subtle work of painter Eva Gonzalès, a contemporary of the Impressionists, at the Petit Palais

The Petit Palais is hosting the first retrospective dedicated to Eva Gonzalès (1847–1883), a talented but little-known painter who was a contemporary of the Impressionists. As Edouard Manet’s only student, she is often associated with 19th-century women artists such as Berthe Morisot and Mary Cassatt. The exhibition “Eva Gonzalès. A Free-Spirited Artist” traces her career through a selection of 100 paintings, pastels, and engravings, highlighting a style marked by sensitivity and subtlety, gracefully depicting female figures, intimate scenes, and Normandy landscapes. On view from 15 September to 24 January 2027.
From 10am to 6pm. From 10am to 8pm on Friday and Saturday. Closed on Monday.
€14. Reduced rate: €12. Free for those under 18.
