160th Anniversary of the Carnavalet Museum - A Festive Weekend

To celebrate its 160th anniversary, the Carnavalet Museum is offering a weekend of free events in the heart of the Marais

To celebrate its 160th anniversary, the Carnavalet Museum - History of Paris - is opening its doors wide for three days of activities, tours, and festive events - all completely free of charge. Highlights of this anniversary include: the “Paris à la loupe” festival - the first festival dedicated to young researchers studying Paris - fun-filled explorations of the collections focusing on unusual objects, the “Paris-ci, par-là” tour and tours dedicated to Paris’s LGBTQIA+ history, as well as a special evening event (Saturday) organized in collaboration with the Young Adults Committee, featuring an immersive game within the museum, drag performances (Kings Factory), and DJ sets in the heart of the gardens. The program is rounded out by a Drag Bingo game with Daisy Lusion, group art workshops (“Carnavalet Respire!”), and poetic interludes both inside and outside the museum.
