Second-hand

There is nothing like second-hand goods for savvy shopping in Paris.

If you are looking for inexpensive fashion accessories or home decor items at rock-bottom prices, second-hand shops are a must. Often, you can pick up luxury or second-hand items for next to nothing.Another good place to bargain hunt are the ‘dépôts-ventes’ (second-hand shops where goods are sold on commission), like the Dépôt-vente de Buci, the Dépôt-vente Paris Luxe or La Marelle. Like at Emmaüs, these are shops where you are certain to pick up a bargain or two! Without forgetting websites such as, Dressing Ecologique Marketplace and EcoProfitable.com to buy and sell online.

The (Re)Store of the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann

Situated on the 3rd floor of the Galeries Lafayette Haussmann department store’s ‘dome’ building, the (Re)Store space is devoted to second-hand items and sustainable fashion. Labelled ‘Go for Good’, the (Re)Store space counts among its partners key players in second-hand fashion, responsible design, upcycling ... such as Monogram, Personal Seller, Relique, Entremains, Petite Chineuse, Crush On, and Culture Vintage. In addition to second-hand items, you’ll find new items created in a sustainable and responsible way (short series, upcycling, manufacturing from fabric offcuts ...). Also in the (Re)Store space is the hardware store ‘Droguerie du Good’, where you can pick up lifestyle, decor and beauty items.

Le 7e Ciel du Printemps Haussmann

Closed since the 1960s, this area of Printemps Haussmann titled 7e Ciel (‘7th heaven’, in English) is once again open to the public. An architectural marvel, you can admire the Binet dome dating from 1910 and bathing the premises in natural light, an Eiffel-style metal framework and the Pont d'Argent, built in the 1930s. On the 7th floor of the department store you will find fashion items (clothes, cosmetics, accessories ...) and articles for the home, from eco-responsible brands committed to an ethical approach: the circular economy, upcycling, repair, customization and second hand. You can also pick up unique and essential items for your wardrobe in the vintage space. The Second Printemps trade-in service takes back clothes that are no longer worn in exchange for vouchers. Printemps Haussmann has also created its own label ‘Unis vers le beau responsable’. The places are decorated with original works of art, and a break on the terrace – view of the Eiffel Tower, the Palais Garnier, the Paris rooftops ...  is always welcome!
