Did you know? : Opposite the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, under the historic arcades of rue de Rivoliare an array of ready-to-wear boutiques. Running parallel to Rue de Rivoli, the long rue Saint-Honoré stretching from the Palais-Royal to Rue Royale, is home to the most prestigious fashion, haute couture, and luxury houses.
It was during the 1970s, at number 30 avenue Montaigne in the mythical Golden Triangle, that the creations of the Maison Dior were designed. To celebrate this heritage, the historic location has opened a gallery showcasing designs, accessories, original sketches, and archival materials -all offering an insight into the creative genius behind the brand. In parallel, the long Rue Saint-Honoré, stretching from the Palais-Royal to Rue Royale, is home to the most prestigious fashion, haute couture, and luxury houses of Christian Dior and his six successors: Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons and Maria Grazia Chiuri. The focal point of the visit? The Grand Staircase, decorated with 1,500 objects in scaled-down models, in various colours.

Did you know? Stretching from the Champs-Élysées to the pont de l'Alma, the avenue Montaigne is one of the most exclusive streets in Paris, immortalized in numerous films and TV series. Lined primarily with luxury boutiques (it is said to have only 200 residents), it is among the most expensive streets in the city.
Housed in the historic hôtel particulier of the Yves Saint-Laurent Paris Fashion house, the museum offers a fascinating immersion into the world of the couturier. Visitors can see the former haute couture salons and Yves Saint Laurent’s studio, and admire treasures from the Bergé Foundation collection including designs, accessories, sketches, photos, and videos.
Good to know : currently closed for renovation, the museum is scheduled to reopen in autumn 2027. The project consists of a significant architectural overhaul in which the original couture house will be preserved and the visitor space extended.

The palais Galliera became the city of Paris’s fashion museum in 1977 and since then its mission has been to showcase the history of fashion from the 18th century to the present day through thematic or monographic exhibitions. Although it does not display any permanent collections, it presents some 200,000 items - including clothing, accessories, photographs, and drawings- through a programme of popular temporary exhibitions which have featured Frida Kahlo, the wardrobe of Dalida, the couture of the 1950s and the Lanvin, Dior and Chanel fashion houses...

The Goutte d’Or district has always had strong ties to fashion. As part of the regeneration of the district, Paris city council launched a project to create a ‘Rue de la Mode’. As a result, this area is now home to France’s only school bootmakers for women, as well as the École de la maille de Paris. Many designers from around the world have relocated here, as well as a whole community of local designers united under the banner ‘Pôle des Gouttes d'Or de la mode et du design’. The cooperative is supported by prestigious clients such as the Paris Opera, which commissions it to design costumes and the Musée Cognacq-Jay.

A project initiated by Chanel, 19M is a unifying venture focused on creative expertise, the arts, and artisanal crafts.. The space is home to 11 ‘Houses of Art’, more than 600 artisans and collaborators, and a unique artistic richness. On the ground floor of this stunning building, the 19M Gallery serves as a space for people to meet, exchange ideas, and engage in conversation. . Visitors can attend exhibitions and lectures, as well as take part in workshops such as weaving or embroidery.
