Paris offers an unrivalled programme of theatre plays and humorous shows: comic shows, one-(wo)man shows, classical or contemporary plays... Paris has more than 130 theatres and more than 300 shows are performed every week!
The autumn 2024 theatre programme in Paris includes some must-sees and must-sees.
A Parisian theatrical institution founded in 1790, the Comédie française is once again paying tribute to Molière by programming two famous plays by the great man: Les Fourberies de Scapin, in the Salle Richelieu, from 11 September 2025 to 14 January 2026, and Le Misanthrope, from 3 October 2025 to 3 January 2026. By the same author, Jean-Paul Rouve performs Le Bourgeois gentilhomme in a musical version at the Théâtre Antoine from 3 October 2025.
In a revisited classical style, Kirill Serebrennikov's Hamlet is presented in a version combining music, polyphony and different languages. This modern adaptation of Shakespeare can be seen at the Théâtre du Châtelet from 7 to 19 October 2025. Shortly afterwards, the director will present Barocco, a show combining theatre, dance, video and baroque music at the Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers on 25 and 26 October 2025. The Three Musketeers will also be running wild at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal in a joyful adaptation ideal for families by Jean-Philippe Daguerre and Charlotte Matzneff, starting on 11 October 2025.
Fans never tire of waiting for Fabrice Luchini's new show each season. This autumn-winter, he will be reading Cioran and Tocqueville at the théâtre des Mathurins from 22 October 2025 to 17 December 2025, then from 21 January to 4 March 2026. Meanwhile, Gérard Darmon is making his comeback with Un château de cartes at the Théâtre des Nouveautés from 12 September 2025 to 31 December 2025.
In boulevard theatre, the timeless Le Père Noël est une ordure by Le Splendid returns to the Théâtre du Gymnase from 5 October 2025 to 10 January 2026, and the Théâtre de la Michodière is staging La Jalousie, a comedy by Sacha Guitry, directed by Michel Fau, to mark the theatre's centenary, from 16 October 2025.

Finally, head to the Royal Opera of Versailles from 11 to 18 October 2025 to enjoy a theatrical and baroque version of Rossini's Cinderella in a timeless setting.
One-man and one-woman shows are in the spotlight this autumn in the capital. With big names and up-and-coming talent, you'll be spoilt for choice. Don't miss the new dates for Panayotis Pascot's show Entre les deux, which will be performed at Bobino from 23 September to 4 October 2025 and from 20 to 24 January 2026 at l'Olympia. At the Théâtre de l'Atelier, Camille Chamoux sets the tone by talking humorously about mental health and well-being in her new show Ça va, ça va from 14 September to 26 October 2025.
A living legend of French comedy, Valérie Lemercier presents her new show at the Théâtre Marigny from 15 October 2025 to 3 January 2026. Manu Payet has added a new date to his show Emmanuel 2 at the Dôme de Paris on 26 November 2025. Laurent Gerra will be at the Folies Bergère from 29 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, and Dany Boon at the Casino de Paris from 3 to 19 October 2025 to present their respective new creations.
Not to be missed for fans of biting humour, Pierre-Emmanuel Barré and his show Come-Back from 11 to 20 December 2025 at the Bataclan, Nawell Madani at the Folies Bergère in Paris from 21 to 25 October 2025, whose show is not recommended for children under 16, and Roman Frayssinet with his new show Ô Delà at l'Olympia from 26 November to 31 December 2025. Dark humour guaranteed.
In a different vein, Ahmed Sylla has announced a date at the Arena Grand Paris in Tremblay-en-France on Sunday 26 October 2025 to satisfy his audience after filling the Dôme de Paris. Inès Règ is back with her show On est ensemble on 10 and 11 October 2025 at the Grand Rex and Bérengère Krief will be at the Folies Bergère on 9 and 10 October 2025 to share her thoughts on sexuality.
For a truly surprising show, head to the Théâtre de la Tour Eiffel from 9 October to 9 November 2025! There, former presidential candidate Jean Lassalle will present his first show, Jean dans la salle. It's a surprising 360° turn that's definitely worth a look!
Comedy clubs, such as the Joke Comedy Club, Madame Sarfati and Jamel Comedy Club, are the perfect place to discover the comedians of tomorrow.
This year, the capital's one-man and one-woman shows are international! Whether you speak English or have a vague notion of it, you'll be won over by Olivier Giraud's How to become Parisian in one hour? at the théâtre des Nouveautés,until 31 December 2025.
At the Bo Saint-Martin theatre, Julie Collas presents her 100% English stand-up show Oh my God, she’s Parisian!, until 20 December 2025.
