CHATEAU

Château de Chantilly

17 rue Connétable - 60500 Chantilly Chantilly
Book now
The Château de Chantilly is one of the jewels of France's heritage. It houses the untouched treasures of a 19th-century prince, Henri d'Orléans, son of King Louis-Philippe. A 1-day ticket gives access to the Château, the grounds, the Grandes Ecuries and the living horse museum.
The Château is home to the Condé Museum, with its collection of old paintings, and the Cabinet des Livres, which houses 13,000 books, including 1,500 manuscripts.
The 115-hectare park is unique in the diversity of its gardens: the formal garden designed by André Le Nôtre in the 17th century, the hamlet that inspired Marie-Antoinette and an English garden dating from the 19th century.
The Grandes Écuries, a masterpiece of 18th-century architecture, and the living horse museum explain the relationship between man and horse, while the 20 horses and team of 7 riders offer equestrian events and shows all year round.
