Even without a ticket to watch the events, it's possible to experience the Paris 2024 Games to the full. An overview of the best places to watch the Paralympic events

On every street corner, Paris is vibrating to the rhythm of the Paris 2024 Games. The French capital will be hosting most of the events of the Paralympic (from 28 August to 8 September 2024) Games at emblematic venues such as the Grand Palais, the Champ-de-Mars and the Roland Garros. Lucky ticket-holders will be able to experience the event at close quarters. Non-ticketed visitors and enthusiasts can also enjoy the Olympic fervour and festivities, thanks in particular to the locations where the events are being broadcast. And why not meet the stars of world sport, without spending a penny?

Hôtel de Ville, La Villette and Parc Georges Valbon

The parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville (4th arrondissement) will be transformed into the Terrasse des Jeux from 14 July 2024. The Terrasse des Jeux is open until 8 September 2024, the closing day of the Paralympic Games, to accommodate up to 2,500 people simultaneously. On the programme: restaurant areas, sports facilities, sports and artistic performances... And above all, two giant screens to follow the competitions live.

An other celebration area offers the opportunity to meet athletes. Located in the Grande Halle de la Villette (19th arrondissement), the Club France is the place to celebrate with dignity the French Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Open every day from 10am to 2am, from 28 August to 8 September 2024, the Club France offers the chance to follow most of the events involving the French athletes on the big screen, in the company of former world-renowned champions, and to celebrate the French medallists of the previous evening. For access to Club France, during the Paralympic Games, entry is free.

In Seine-Saint-Denis, a department at the heart of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games since several competition venues are located in the Paris region (Stade de France, Clichy-sous-Bois, La Courneuve, la Paris Nord Arena), it is logical to find an XXL celebration zone. This is located in the Parc Georges Valbon in La Courneuve, easily accessible from the centre of Paris. In addition to the numerous free activities and entertainment, there is a giant 80 m² screen where the public can enjoy live broadcasts of the events. Open from 2pm to 10pm on 6 September 2024, until midnight on 7 September 2024 and until 6pm on 8 September 2024. The programme for the latter day promises to be exceptional, with the start of the Paralympic marathon at 8am, the celebration of the French team athletes at 1pm and a concert by BigFlo & Oli at 2.30pm.

And to prove that the whole city is being transformed into one big party, fan zones are being set up all over the capital as part of Paris fête les Jeux. From the Arènes de Lutèce (5th arrondissement) to the Parc Monceau (8th arrondissement), via the parc Martin Luther King and the Rotonde Stalingrad, these neighbourhood celebration sites can accommodate an average of 500 people simultaneously to follow the competitions and enjoy sports and cultural activities to boot. These fan zones are open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on competition days.

Paris Plages 2024

Another way of following the Games, this time by the water, is the Paris Plages event, which in 2024 will be offering an Olympic edition with - among other things - free broadcasts of the events on its three sites:
