The Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a two-part program of shows, concerts and participatory events

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac is offering an exceptional program with two highlights: the 20th Anniversary Festival from June 19 to 21, 2026, and the Anniversary Summer Garden from July 4 to August 2, 2026. The emblematic musée du quai Branly brings together the cultures of the world through concerts, performances, live shows, workshops and participative experiences. Between festive events and moments of discovery, this anniversary invites visitors to explore the museum's collections and spaces in a whole new way.
Opening night, June 19, 2026: 6 pm to 1.30 am
Festival opening evening on June 19, 2026: 34€ (access to all evening events). Festival activities over the weekend (June 20 and 21, 2026) are free, as are those of the Anniversary Summer Garden (subject to availability)

📌 Musée du Quai Branly 20th Anniversary Festival

From 19 to 21 June 2026, the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac will celebrate its 20th anniversary with BRANLY 20 ANS - LE FESTIVAL!, a major weekend of festivities taking place across all its outdoor spaces. Designed as an opportunity for intergenerational sharing, this event offers a multidisciplinary open-air programme combining concerts under the stars, dance performances, artistic introductions, cookery workshops, storytelling and fun activities.

The opening night kicks things off in an immersive summer festival atmosphere. The weekend continues with free admission, inviting the public to move freely between the activities, the permanent collections gallery, a grand public ball and a night-time film marathon beneath the Eiffel Tower.

Single ticket price €34, aged 16 and over (minors must be accompanied). A grand musical journey (from the garden to the roof terrace) featuring Oxmo Puccino, Acid Arab, Kiddy Smile, Tété, Danyl, Ballaké Sissoko and L’Entourloop.
  • Festival weekend on 20 and 21 June 2026: during the day (from 10.30am/11am) and in the evening. Free and open to all subject to availability (permanent collections and temporary exhibitions included).
    • On the programme: culinary workshops from four continents (specialities from the Maghreb, Colombia, Vietnam and Polynesia), brass bands, introductions to world dances (Samba, Bollywood, lion dance, ‘Ori Tahiti) and games from around the world
    • Saturday evening (7pm-10.30pm): a grand Cuban ball combining live concerts (Alexis El Mura y su Tradición Cubana) and introductions to salsa or cha-cha-cha
    • Saturday night to Sunday morning (7pm-8.30am): an open-air ‘film marathon’ on the roof terrace (free entry with online booking, ages 15 and over) focusing on the theme of coming of age, with six feature films screened until dawn, including Diamond Island and West Side Story

📌20th Anniversary Summer Garden at the Musée du Quai Branly

Throughout the summer of 2026, the 20th Anniversary Summer Garden will transform the outdoor areas of the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac into an open and welcoming cultural space. Designed as a season in its own right, the programme features open-air film screenings, storytelling, creative workshops, mini-tours, talks and activities for all ages. Combining relaxation and discovery, the garden becomes a living space where visitors can stroll, learn and share in a welcoming and festive atmosphere. This summer event extends the spirit of the museum’s 20th anniversary by offering a gentle, immersive cultural experience rooted in the season.
