To be awarded one star by the Michelin Guide is already a prestigious distinction as according to the scale of the famous guide this signifies, ‘very good cooking’. In Paris, 50 or so establishments have been awarded this rating. Gastronomic critics from the Michelin Guide visit establishments anonymously to judge the quality of products, the standard of the cooking and flavours, the type of cooking, the price quality ratio and the consistency of quality. Demanding criteria that the following establishments have fulfilled with brio, to maybe land in a few years a second star.

Michelin Guide 2025: The new rising stars of Parisian gastronomy

The Michelin Guide 2025 has honoured several Parisian establishments by awarding them a first star, testifying to the capital's culinary diversity and innovation. Among them, Maison Avoise in Issy-les-Moulineaux, run by chef Alexis Voisenet, offers modern cuisine in a historic setting. In Paris, Aldehyde, under the leadership of chef Youssef Marzouk, combines French gastronomy and Tunisian influences in the heart of the Marais.

Hakuba, located in the Cheval Blanc Paris hotel, offers a refined Japanese experience orchestrated by chef Takuya Watanabe. Other Michelin-starred establishments include Origines, Vaisseau run by Adrien Cachot, Amalia led by Cecilia Spurio, Agapé, and Sushi Shunei, each bringing a unique touch to the Parisian gastronomic scene.
