Luxembourg Gardens, Jardin des Plantes, outside City Hall ... exhibitions can be visited outdoors too
You can explore heritage sites and works of art outdoors and free of charge as you stroll through the streets and gardens of Paris and the Île-de-France region. Large-format photographic displays regularly appear on the railings of the jardin du Luxembourg, the Hôtel de Ville, the tour Saint-Jacques or the jardin des Plantes. The forecourt of the gare de Lyon or the green spaces of the Fontainebleau–Avon station forecourt also serve as a venue for temporary themed exhibitions.
Bercy Village invites visitors throughout the year to discover photo exhibitions in its covered arcades, whilst the Villette regularly hosts art installations in its gardens. The esplanade of the Défense for its part, through its flagship event Les Extatiques showcases a selection of contemporary artworks within its unique architectural setting.
