Young people should not miss out on culture**:** admission to the Musées et Monuments nationaux (national museums and monuments) is free for under 18s. There is so much to choose from in Paris … the Louvre, the Musée du Moyen Âge (closed until mid-July 2018), Château de Fontainebleau, Musée d’Orsay, etc. There is a huge choice!

Remember, European citizens aged under 26 are also entitled to free admission.

Plenty of cultural venues in Paris and the Ile-de-France region offer free admission for the entire family on the first Sunday of each month, including the Musée Cluny (reopening scheduled for fall 2021), the Centre Pompidou, the Musée Picasso Paris.

Some places offer preferential rates – for example, Paris Story has a ‘Family Pack’ – or reduced rates for large families, as at amusement parks like Parc Astérix.

The Louis Vuitton Foundation has a ‘family price’ for 1 or 2 adults accompanying up to 4 children under 18, and free entry for children under 3 years old

Many families purchase a pass: a practical way to get the most out of a Paris stay. Paris Visite pass: the economical way to get around town

With the flat-rate Paris Visite travel card, getting around town is a breeze. It offers unlimited travel on the bus, the metro, the tramway, RER suburban trains and SNCF Transilien regional trains for 1 to 5 consecutive days.

The price depends on the duration you choose and the zones (zones 1-3: Paris and its nearby suburbs and Zones 1-5: Paris and its nearby suburbs, out to Orly and Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle airports, Disneyland® Paris, and the Palace of Versailles. Please note; public transport is free for children under 4.
