Musée de Cluny – musée national du Moyen Âge

28 rue du Sommerard - 75005 Paris Latin Quarter
The Musée de Cluny – Musée National du Moyen Âge is located in the heart of Paris. The museum stands on the site of the ancient thermal baths - don't miss the spectacular frigidarium with its 14-metre high vaults - and in the medieval hotel of the abbots of Cluny, a jewel of the flamboyant Gothic style. Since 2018, a very contemporary pavilion has been welcoming visitors.
Nearly 1,600 masterpieces of medieval art are presented on a chronological tour that spans more than 1,000 years of history. Among the jewels of the museum's collections are the famous tapestries of the Lady of the Unicorn, the heads of the Kings of Judah from Notre-Dame Cathedral and stained glass windows from the Sainte-Chapelle, as well as one of the finest collections of Limousin enamel.
After several years of modernization and accessibility work, the museum reopened in May 2022 with a brand new museography.
