SPOT24: a free programme full of surprises

Permanent exhibition, happenings, surprises** … Find out what’s on at SPOT24, the place where art and urban cultures meet.

In the run-up to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, SPOT24 opens its doors a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower to showcase the links between art and sport. Until 15 December 2024, temporary exhibitions, exceptional one-off events and new experiences await visitors!

Did you know?

An auction of the works exhibited at SPOT24 will be held on Monday 2 December 2024 from 3.30pm in room 5 of the Drouot auction house. This exceptional sale is organised by Maison Digard and is part of a global sale dedicated to street art and contemporary art.

Alongside the permanent immersive exhibition, L'exposition olympique, sport et cultures urbaines - designed by François Gautret - gives carte blanche to artists such as PichiAvo, Kraken, Philippe Baudelocque, Nicolas Pierre, Alexis Le Diamantaire, Reyz...

Sylvie Barco "Du mur au skate" (From wall to skateboard)

Plastic photographer Sylvie Barco creates street art on the walls of every city she visits. She is exhibiting a multiple installation at SPOT24, at the crossroads between photographs, frescoes and objects with skateboarding as its central subject. For SPOT24, she has created a multiple installation, combining photographs, frescoes and video to present a Paris in perpetual movement, social and a symbol of diversity thanks to skateboarding, a discipline that challenges gender stereotypes and diversity.

Skatepark Eiffel

The Eiffel skatepark was inaugurated on June 6, 2024, just 50 days before the start of the Paris 2024 Games. Located in front of SPOT24, it even sports and urban cultures and is part of the legacy of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Bayeté Ross Smith - ‘Got the Power - Boombox‘

Presented for the first time in France at SPOT24 from 23 August 2024, the work ‘Got the Power: Hip Hop 50 Boombox‘ is the latest in Bayeté Ross Smith's ‘Got the Power: Boombox’ series of sculptures. In this sculpture, Ross Smith pays homage to the French hip hop community and celebrates over 40 years of hip hop in France, while highlighting the controversial history of the sugar and cotton industries and their impact on the world today. The cultural production of the project was led by artist Bayeté Ross Smith and The Californian Agency.

Signature

Signature - by Just Live Music and DJ One Up - is a collection of original musical and visual works showcasing artists involved in the Olympic journey, with the link between hip-hop and top-level sport at the heart of their universe. The exhibition can be seen at SPOT24 from December 3 to 15, 2024.

Y-CONES on show from 21 October

During the Paris 2024 Games, Youssef Sy, alias ‘Ysy’, is dressing up the Club France. As an extension of the Games, SPOT 24 is exhibiting from 21 October 2024 the artist's famous ‘Y-Cônes’ based on sports such as surfing, breaking, climbing, skateboarding and BMX freestyle.

Other surprises await visitors to SPOT24, including posters and watches from the legendary Keith Haring x Swatch collection, the personal vinyl collection of the famous New York record store Lord Funk, stop-motion videos by Patagraph (best known for directing Orelsan's La Quête video), surfboards customized by Polynesian artists, and photos and sculptures by French artist Léo Caillard (represented by Galerie 208). And to round things off in style, the Olympic torch will be passing through SPOT24!
