The exhibition ‘SPOT24 – the Olympic Exhibition, sport and urban culture’s showing from 24 October 2023 to 31 December 2024, throws a spotlight on six new Olympic disciplines that will be represented at the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Although BMX freestyle, skateboarding, sport climbing, surfing and 3x3 basketball were already present in 2020 in Tokyo, another sport breaking has been added for 2024.
Signed by François Gautret, (curator of the ‘Hip-Hop 360’ exhibition at the Philharmonie de Paris), ‘SPOT24 – the Olympic Exhibition, sport and urban cultures’ focuses on these new sports, as well as their links with urban cultures.
All the secrets of these new disciplines will be revealed through numerous works and archives from the collection of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, as well as original creations. Throughout the exhibition, there will be a full programme of cultural activities for all ages, including events, battles, and introductory sports sessions … as well as a competition featuring world-renowned artists and athletes!
