Sexy Paris

Shopping, restaurants, cabarets, hotels … discover Paris from a spicy angle.

The City of Love isn’t lacking in activities for saucy couples! After a strolling through the Pigalle district and discovering the history of the Marais and libertinage on two wheels with Paris Bike Tour, why not spice up your trip with a romantic shopping trip, a strip show, or dinner in a former brothel? Here are plenty of ideas for day and night.

Sexy shopping

Although the historic Pigalle sex shop ‘Sexodrome’ continues to attract the masses, a new type of signage has started popping up in Paris. The bright lights and storefronts of ‘love stores’ are easily accessible for the uninitiated. In one of the four ‘Au passage du désir’ shops in Paris, you will find everything you need to jazz up your nights, be they alone or with a partner: sex toys, of course, but also foreplay games, aphrodisiac cosmetics, and fun accessories.

Satin ribbons, delicate lace, and audacious ruffles: fine lingerie will delight ladies (and men!) during a sexy shopping trip. For rock and glamour underwear, head for designer Chantal Thomass’ boutique, where you will find haute-couture collections for every girl. Lovers of black should check out the Cadolle lingerie house, where you will find blouses, knickers, bras, and other négligés with seductive sobriety. Finally, it is also possible to have a bespoke corset made for special occasions at the workshop of François Tamarin, for example, elected a ‘Meilleur Ouvrier en France’.

Bars and restaurants with a cheeky atmosphere

After doing a bit of shopping, what could be better than a drink or a meal in a tempting atmosphere? Just a stone’s throw from the Moulin Rouge, Maison Souquet is a former belle époque brothel converted into a five-star hotel. Its hidden cocktail bar’s satin decor transports visitors to the early 20th century. If you prefer the folklore of a former Russian brothel in the centre of Paris, head to Raspoutine, on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées. The former brothel, Aux Belles Poules, reopened its doors in 2017, to let you discover this Art Deco style place through guided tours : areal gem!

Finally, one of the ten private lounges at the Lapérouse restaurant can be used to make a proposal. For 250 years, this private mansion welcomed merchants, intellectuals, and politicians in a rich atmosphere decorated with wood panelling, leather, fabrics, and precious objects. Its many original lounges were designed to allow clients to carry out their financial transactions without having to worry about the thieves that roamed the streets during that period, and quickly became places for courting. The Belle Otéro lounge still carries evidence of this: the mirror is covered with signatures of girls checking that the diamond they had just been offered was a real one!

Cabarets and erotic shows

The Secret Square, the Sweet Paradise, Crazy Horse, Moulin Rouge, Paradis Latincabarets have been the high points of Parisian nightlife for decades. It’s in these rooms that the cancan had so much success. Today, they are full of glamour, showcasing the beauty of female bodies. Languorous dances combined with sequined and ruffled costumes, it’s a sensual show to share with your other half … And for even more voluptuousness, head for Manko.

If you're counting on a more far-fetched show, you will appreciate the Cabaret Burlesque striptease shows, every Friday and Saturday from 11pm, onstage at La Nouvelle Seine. Straight from the United States, this colourful discipline takes cues from French cabaret and combines them with the American retro style of the 1950s. The result: fun, feminist shows, somewhere between self-deprecation and sensuality.

In the same vein, but a lot more suggestive, the Théâtre Chochotte offers adventurous clients the chance to enjoy a personalized number in one of its small private lounges. Awaken your senses in a Parisian boudoir unlike any other …

Day rooms at hotels

The idea of renting a hotel room for the day is becoming more and more appealing for couples looking for sensations. Other establishments also offer the chance for guests to claim a private moment for two in the middle of the day, following the example of Hyatt Paris Madeleine, Vice Versa Hotel Paris, Hotel Odéon Saint-Germain, and even the famous Maison Souquet.
