‘Louchebem’ is a slang word dating from the time when Les Halles was the ‘belly’ of Paris, which referred to ‘the butcher’. Today, the Louchebem remains faithful to its reputation of being the oldest grill-room in the capital. It serves purely meat, but high-quality meat chosen with care and always cooked to perfection. The menu, as detailed as a textbook on the anatomy of cattle and pigs, offers all types of dishes for hungry carnivores: XXL steak tartare (500g!!!), tied thin slices of beef, leg of beef, entrecote steak crisp on the outside and succulent on the inside and, for the brave the grill-room platter consisting of 3 types of meat … served as many times as you like. Enjoy your meal!
