The Peruvian Culture and Gastronomy Festival returns to the Chalet du Lac, featuring Japan as the guest country (Nikkei cuisine), a crafts village, traditional dances, and an evening concert
On Saturday, September 5, 2026, Mixtura France will take over the Chalet du Lac in the Bois de Vincennes for its 5th edition, a must-attend event celebrating the rich diversity of Peruvian culture. Conceived by Chef Daniel Montoya and Ana Lucía Achata, the festival offers a complete immersion in gastronomy, crafts, music, and traditions. In terms of gastronomy and Nikkei cuisine: more than 20 culinary stations and 56 specialties to sample (ceviches, tiraditos, causas, anticuchos, slow-cooked dishes, and wood-fired grilled items). For this edition, Japan is the guest of honor, highlighting Nikkei fusion cuisine through masterclasses and the presence of renowned chefs such as Luis Arévalo. On the Mixtura Day schedule (noon to 8pm): culinary masterclasses, a village of artisans and creators (textiles, jewelry, coffee, cacao), traditional dance performances, a kids’ area, and networking events. On the schedule for Mixtura Fest (8pm to 5am): a grand festive evening featuring live concerts (including Pedro Loli, a leading figure in Peruvian cumbia), DJ sets, dance demonstrations, and a pisco-themed cocktail bar.
