Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral: a restored masterpiece in the heart of the capital. Situated in the historic center of Paris, at the tip of the Ile de la Cité, Notre-Dame de Paris is back in all its splendor since its reopening in December 2024. This masterpiece of Gothic art, built between the 12th and 15th centuries, stands side by side with other gems such as the Sainte-Chapelle and the Conciergerie. Severely damaged during the French Revolution, the cathedral was magnificently restored in the 19th century by the architect Viollet-le-Duc, who is notably responsible for the famous spire, which was rebuilt identically after the fire in 2019. Today, visitors can once again admire the church's monumental rose windows, restored stained glass, two emblematic towers, gargoyles and chimeras, as well as its treasury of rare items: statues, tapestries, liturgical objects and works of art. The visit also includes the archaeological crypt, located beneath the forecourt, revealing unique remains dating from Antiquity to the Middle Ages, bearing witness to the evolution of the heart of Paris over the centuries. A lively place of worship, Notre-Dame hosts masses, concerts and spiritual highlights, while offering a cultural experience accessible to all, with tours adapted for children, facilities for the disabled and immersive guided tours. Just a stone's throw from the Seine and Paris's most beautiful districts, Notre-Dame is a must for anyone wishing to rediscover the history, emotion and resilience of this universal monument.

Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral made Olympic history by hosting an Olympic mass presided over by Cardinal Louis-Ernest Dubois at the opening ceremony of the 1924 Paris Olympic Games, thus demonstrating its spiritual involvement in this international event.
