The first royal residence in the capital and a prison during the French Revolution, this historic site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
On the Île de la Cité, exceptional Gothic rooms of the first royal palace in Paris and reproduction of the prison cells of the revolutionary tribunal. At the end of the 17th century, numerous people were imprisoned in the prison of the Conciergerie, including Marie-Antoinette.

As part of the Vigipirate program security controls are put in place at the entrance of Parisian museums and monuments. In case of a large attendance, these controls can create a waiting time which cannot be skipped.
Admission to the Conciergerie is free during the European Heritage Days on 21 and 22 September 2024 and on the first Sundays of the month from November to March inclusive.
Open every day from 9:30 am to 6 pm.
Exceptionally closed on January 1st, May 1st and December 25th.
