Paris celebrates the Games

As host of this global competition, Paris is transforming itself to offer an exceptional programme of festivities.

With "Paris Celebrates the Games", the capital is coming alive with several celebration sites in various arrondissements.

These festive venues include

  • La Terrasse des Jeux - Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville hosts up to 2,500 people throughout the summer. Two giant screens are at your disposal, as well as areas dedicated to sports and para-sports, an artistic stage and a workshop showcasing local players.
  • Paris Plages is also celebrating the Games from 6 July 2024. To mark the occasion, discover the new feature of this 2024 edition: La Croisette Parisienne. Stroll along the two banks of the Canal Saint-Martin and take advantage of the beaches and terraces available to you.
  • The physical education ground at la Grange-aux-Belles in the 10th arrondissement is transformed into a place of festivities, offering a host of free events for young and old throughout the summer.
  • Le Jardin de Reuilly in the 12th arrondissement is celebrating the Paris 2024 Games and allowing you to follow the retransmission of the events as well as offering restaurant areas and sports and cultural events.
  • The Parc Monceau will bring the excitement of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to life with cultural and sports events and educational stands throughout the summer.
  • Place Saint-Suplice is at the heart of the festivities, transformed into a place of celebration and conviviality throughout the summer.

Current events

To make sure you don't miss a thing when you're in Paris, visit the Paris je t’aime App. The Paris je t'aime app allows you to geolocate yourself, set your search parameters and find the exhibitions, visits and activities closest to you.

A real meeting point for fans and athletes, fan zones offer a real immersion in local culture by organising workshops, concerts and events. They are also equipped with giant screens for live broadcasts of the events.

  • The Club France offers sports activities, exhibitions and workshops for all ages.
  • The Parc Georges-Valbon, the 3rd largest park in the Île-de-France region, is celebrating the Paris 2024 Games with an extensive concert programme, sports events, cultural events and plenty of food and drink on site. The programme for the final day - Sunday 8 September 2024 - is particularly tempting with the start of the Paralympic marathon from 8am, the celebration of French athletes at 1pm and a concert by BigFlo & Oli at 2.30 pm

The Paralympic Torch Relay

The flame takes the emblem of Olympism with it through the regions of France and the Grand Paris. The Paralympic Torch Relay starts in Stoke Mandeville in England on 25 August 2024. It then travels throughout France on 26 August 2024, entering the Île-de-France region on 27 August 2024 and finally Paris on 28 August 2024.
